A motorcycle helmet is a safety measure required. It is one of the highest safety ranking equipment for a motorcycle. Its primary purpose is to protect the reader. The decision whether to purchase a motorcycle helmet or not is a matter of life and death. It is an important decision that a bike owner should consider. In fact, some countries have made policies that require every motorcycle rider to wear a helmet. To begin with, never buy a second-hand helmet or a used LS2 helmet. Using a second-hand helmet or borrowed helmet is a compromise to one's safety. Stay away from novelty helmets. This is because they are not made to suit the function of a mask. They are made to generate a conversation. Wrap a cloth or a tape measure around your head to measure its size. This should be done one inch above the eyebrows. Use a size chart to select the helmet. Choose the mask that closely corresponds to your head. If you can fit two sizes of a helmet try the two and decide the one that properly fits you. All helmets have different sizing and shapes. Once the helmet is received, wear it to ascertain that it properly fits you.

 

It is also proper to confirm that the helmet is DOT approved, that is, department of transportation approved. An approved helmet by the department of transportation goes through a rigorous test for approval. It can also be Snell rated as all go through almost the same rigorous test.
